If you’ve been traveling through South America, you’ve more than likely heard of Loki, a hostel chain famous for its epic parties and infamous “bloodbombs”.
Without doubt, the hostel’s biggest highlight is Loki bar, a wild party den set in a beautifully restored 100 year old ball room featuring high ceilings, velvet curtains, a collection of antique mirrors and a gorgeous view over La Paz. The staff, made up of both locals and travelers, are friendly and energetic, hosting regular themed party nights, helping guests mingle and have fun.
The hostel itself is spread over eight stories, containing both private rooms and dorm rooms each with warm beds, private bathrooms and hot showers. Loki provides 24 hour door security as well as lockers in the dorm rooms and reception to ensure travelers’ belongings are kept safe and secure at all times.
After a long night of partying and exploring La Paz, guests are able to make use of various chill-out areas with free internet, pool table, gym and ping pong table as well as a TV/DVD room. Loki also caters for late night revelers by serving breakfast up to 1pm, having a late check out time of 1pm and no curfew!
The location of the hostel is in a safe neighborhood and is in walking distance to many of La Paz’s main sights and attractions. If you’re looking to book a tour, the staff at reception are able to book tours directly from the hostel and can provide you with top tips about what to do in and around the city.
