La Paz Taxi App – Celutaxi
The recently launched La Paz taxi ordering app, Celutaxi, allows its users to order registered taxis from their mobile phone or laptop. The service aims to make taxi travel in La Paz safer by maintaining a central database of approved drivers and pick-up details. Users are also tracked using their phone’s GPS during their journey.
The service also ensures that prices are fairly negotiated in advance.
Launched in April 2014, Celutaxi, has recently received a boost from telecom provider VIVA who have offered to support participating taxi drivers with mobile phone plans.
The Celutaxi app is currently available on android devices, and is free to download via Google Play.
Taxis can also be ordered directly from the Celutaxi website.
