Viagra Helps Argentinians to Final in La Paz Match

The Argentinian football side, San Lorenzo, reportedly popped the sexual performance enhancer Viagra in a bid to boost their chances in their semi-final clash with Bolivar in La Paz yesterday.

The theory is that the blue pills’ ability to increase blood oxygenation helps to counter-act the effects of La Paz’s high altitude and correspondingly thin air. Currently there is no FIFA ban on the drug.

A previous use of the drug in Quito resulted in a draw. This time San Lorenzo lost the match but, perhaps thanks to Viagra, were able to keep the defeat to just one goal allowing them to go through to the final on aggregate off the back of a commanding 5-0 win in the first leg.
